Business Training Scholarships

The Northeast Business Growth Initiative is an effort by the City of Kansas City, Missouri; Historic Northeast stakeholders; and UMKC to unite key resources within the Kansas City community to create a suite of tools to support business growth. The UMKC Innovation Center is a place where residential and business owners in the Historic Northeast can obtain these tools in a classroom setting. The City contributes by funding the Northeast Business Growth Scholarship for the Innovation Center classes.

The Northeast Business Growth Scholarship attendees will receive scholarships toward the class fee of the open business course(s) pertinent to the scholarship participant’s phase in business and business education needs. If the current business courses do not meet the needs of the non-English speakers, then other community partners will provide assistance. The open business course schedule and requirement details can be found at http://info.umkc.edu/sbtdc/ne-kcmo-program.
