Historic Northeast Minor Home Repair Program

The Northeast Targeted Minor Home Repair Program assists homeowners who live in a target area from Benton Boulevard to Hardesty Avenue and from Garner Avenue to Eighth Street, by making exterior minor housing repairs such as roofing, windows, exterior paint (through the City’s Paint Program), or major mechanical systems such as furnaces or duct work.

This is a federally funded grant program provided through the City of Kansas City, Missouri, for applicants who own and reside in the property to be repaired. Applicants cannot own more than one residential property or have received home repair assistance from the City in the past five years. Utilities must be on at the subject property. Households earning 80 percent or less of the median income are eligible for participation. The chart below shows the respective median household income rates.
